Privacy Policy
Last updated September 11, 2026
Short version: the developer collects nothing. There are no developer accounts, ads, analytics, tracking, or servers. Core play works offline. Optional Apple services can privately sync progress, show Game Center results, or connect nearby iPhones you approve.
Data collection
Games To Play In Line and its developer do not collect, sell, or share personal data. The app contains no analytics SDK, advertising SDK, developer account system, telemetry, or developer-operated server API. Apple processes data when you choose iCloud, Game Center, TestFlight, or other Apple services under your Apple Account and Apple’s privacy terms.
Information stored on your device
The app stores only information needed for features you use, including settings, personal bests, seen-prompt history, favorites, recent games, aggregate play statistics, achievements, custom decks, player or team names you choose, Crew Passports, Smart Wait preferences, and resumable Party, Playlist, Tournament, and Wait Planner sessions.
The app has no developer account. If you enable iCloud sync, eligible settings, progress, crews, passports, and custom decks are also stored in your private iCloud key-value store. Apple associates that private copy with your Apple Account; the developer cannot access it. You can disable sync or request removal of the current cloud snapshot from Settings. Apple may take time to deliver that request, and another iPhone with sync still enabled may upload its copy again.
Nearby Play and Apple services
Nearby Play uses Apple’s encrypted Multipeer Connectivity framework to exchange an ephemeral lobby and current-game state directly among approved devices. It may use peer-to-peer Wi-Fi and Bluetooth without internet. A six-character safety code lets a guest verify the selected host; it is not a password and does not approve a guest. The host separately matches the guest’s random nearby name on both screens before approving. Other players see a random neutral alias and opaque identifier created for that session, not your device name or a developer account; neither is saved. Invitation contents and game messages use an additional application-layer end-to-end encryption layer. The developer never receives the stream, and ending or timing out the lobby discards its connection state.
Game Center can receive achievement completion and aggregate scores after you enable it. Widgets, Live Activities, Siri/App Intents, Handoff, and Spotlight receive only the game or session summaries needed for the visible feature. Apple controls its services’ retention and account settings.
Sensors and device features
Some games read motion, compass, or simultaneous multi-touch input. Readings are processed in memory only while the relevant game is active; raw sensor and touch data is not stored or transmitted. You can decline motion access and choose a sensor-free game.
The app does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, photo-library, or advertising-tracking access. Outdoor mode temporarily changes only the app window’s brightness and restores the prior level after play or backgrounding.
Import, export, backup, and restore
Imports read only a file you select. Exports and backups are created only after you ask and are handed to the system share sheet or clipboard. Restore reads only a selected file or backup text you explicitly place on the clipboard, validates it, and replaces app-owned data after confirmation. The app does not upload decks or backups.
Children
The app has no ads, purchases, accounts, open chat, or data collection. Kids mode simplifies the catalog and keeps available games on Easy. No personal information is knowingly collected from children or anyone else.
Control and deletion
You can export a backup, reset app data, disable Apple services, and request removal of the app’s current private cloud snapshot from Settings. Cloud removal remains pending while Apple delivers the request and can be reversed if another opted-in iPhone uploads its copy again. Uninstalling removes local data under iOS controls.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date and text here will be updated. A change to data collection would also require an updated app release and App Store privacy disclosure.
